Man charged in connection to cocaine bust: Winnipeg police

Winnipeg police have charged a 35-year-old man in connection to a drug trafficking investigation.
WPS says on Sept. 7, officers conducted a traffic stop near Lake Crest Road and Waverley Street and a man was taken into custody.
Following the traffic stop, a search warrant was issued for a home on Linwood Street.
During the search, officers found and seized 28 ounces of cocaine (worth roughly $80,000), over $13,000 in cash, and other drug trafficking materials.
Since the search, WPS says the 35-year-old has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds obtained be a crime over $5,000.
