Police arrest Winnipeg man, teenager in Furby Street homicide

Winnipeg police arrested two suspects, including a 17-year-old boy, in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man on Furby Street Saturday.

The Winnipeg Police Service says the victim was identified as George Nickolas Demos.

Homicide investigators arrested 23-year-old Jonathan Michael Gladue and charged him with second-degree murder. He remains in custody.

A 17-year-old was also arrested and charged with second-degree murder. He was detained in custody.

The homicide unit is continuing to investigate.

Police were called to a rear lane on Furby Street around 3:20 a.m. Saturday. They found the victim unresponsive; he was transported to hospital in critical condition where he died of his injuries.
