3 stabbings in Winnipeg Saturday: police

Winnipeg police say three individuals were stabbed in separate incidents Saturday.

At 5:45 a.m., officers were called to William Avenue for the report of a stabbing. A man was allegedly robbed of his bike, stabbed and physically assaulted. Police say the victim is in stable condition.

At 9:25 p.m., police say they were told about a robbery on Redwood Avenue. A delivery driver was allegedly confronted and stabbed. The suspects fled, and no arrests have been made. Attending officers provided emergency first aid to the victim.

At 11:50 p.m., police say they received a report of a stabbing at Stadacona Street and Tweed Avenue. The victim was allegedly approached by armed suspects and assaulted. The suspects fled, police say, and officers administered emergency first aid.

Members of the WPS major crimes unit are investigating all three incidents.
