Inmate dies at Stony Mountain Institution: Correctional services investigating

The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is investigating the death of an inmate that occurred at the Stoney Mountain Institution.
A spokesperson for Stoney Mountain said the inmate died on Monday, and at this time, it is believed they died of natural causes.
The inmate was not named, but the family was reportedly informed of the death.
At the time, they were serving a six years and six months sentence for Sexual Assault.
Per CSC policy, police and the coroner are required to be notified, and investigators will look into the circumstances of the death.
