Winnipeg police say they have arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of a 31-year-old man from Peguis First Nation.
Vincent Brian Kipling was found injured on May 10 near Stella Avenue and Main Street. He died of his injuries in hospital.
On May 23 police identified 38-year-old Aaron Wayne Azure as a suspect in the homicide investigation.
The WPS says Azure was arrested in the North Point Douglas neighbourhood Monday. He was charged with manslaughter and detained in custody.
Winnipeg police’s homicide unit says the arrest was made with the help of the Manitoba Integrated Violent Offender Apprehension Unit (MIVOAU).
The homicide investigation is ongoing.

Loves ones of Kipling told CityNews earlier this month they felt robbed of a loving father and man who is being remembered as a bright light.
“He was a good person, he was able to just connect with anyone,” said his sister Madison Kipling.
Family members gathered for a candlelight vigil May 14 to honour Kipling’s memory.
