Additional charges laid in Point Douglas homicides: police

Winnipeg police say four people are in custody in connection to a series of “violent incidents” on August 22, 2022, in Point Douglas.

Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) says on Aug. 22, three people were seriously assaulted. Two of the victims, Danielle Ballantyne, 36, and Marvin Felix, 54, died from their injuries in August.

The third, Troy Baguley, 51, suffered life-altering injuries at the time. He died from his injuries in March 2023.

WPS says on Mar. 21, a 21-year-old was arrested at the Headingley Correctional Centre and charged with second-degree murder in connection to the death of Baguley.
