Winnipeg police investigating three morning assaults

Winnipeg police are looking for potentially one suspect in connection with three assaults in the Point Douglas area Monday morning.

Officers say around 4:30 a.m., they were alerted to a man who was suffering from serious injuries near the 800 block of Main Street. Police say he was taken to hospital in critical condition.

Around 5 a.m., officers received reports of another man who was suffering from injuries near the 600 block of Main Street. He was also taken to hospital in unstable condition.

About half an hour later, officers patrolling near Logan Avenue and Disraeli Freeway found a third man hurt, from what he claimed to be an assault. He was taken to hospital in stable condition.

WPS believes the three incidents are linked.
