Winnipeg police lay 2 more charges in 3D-printed gun investigation

Winnipeg police have charged two more men in connection with a 3D-printed gun investigation.
Police allege a criminal network solicited and paid legitimate 3D printer services to manufacture handgun receivers.
Two men aged 19 and 30 were arrested in November 2022 and charged with weapons trafficking.

The Firearms Investigation and Enforcement Unit (FIEU) continued the investigation and have since laid more charges.
Police say two men directed the production and trafficking of numerous 3D guns between June 2022 and December 2022.
On Dec. 21, 2022, FIEU attended the Winnipeg Remand Center and executed an arrest warrant for a 23-year-old man.
On Jan. 30, FIEU attended Headingley Correctional Centre and executed an arrest warrant for a 24-year-old man.
Both were charged with weapons trafficking and remained in custody.
