Winnipeg police charge two in connection to 30 break and enters

Winnipeg police have charged two people in connection to a series of break and enters ranging from May 2022 to January 2023.

WPS say in that time, roughly 30 homes and stores were broken into across Winnipeg.

On Jan. 25, officers issued a search warrant for a home along Fruby Street. While searching the home, investigators recovered roughly $80,000 in stolen property, including computers, bicycles and tools.

When the warrant was issued, police took Michael Johnathan Peter Moore, 31, and Tamara Gwendolynn Gladu, 32, in custody and charged them with a combined 55 charges of breaking and entering related offences.

WPS also noted that roughly $250,000 in property damages occurred at the following locations:

Winnipeg police encourages Winnipeggers to register and record serial numbers of vehicles and trailers, including Powersports and leisure products. Proper documentation will allow officers to return items to their owners if they are stolen.
