One in critical condition after hotel fire on Portage Avenue

One person was taken to hospital in critical condition after a hotel fire in the city’s northwest early Sunday morning, according to the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service.
The WFPS says there was a fire shortly before 3 a.m. at a hotel on Portage Avenue near Buchanan Boulevard.
Firefighters say the blaze was under control by 3:30 a.m.
Paramedics treated two patients at the scene. One was taken to hospital in critical condition.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
