Winnipeg fire crews battle pair of morning blazes

Winnipeg fire crews say a home and a pair of garages have been damaged following two separate morning fires.

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Services responded to a fire around 5:59 a.m. along Redwood Avenue, after receiving a report that a fire had spread to two garages.

Firefighters were able to declare the fire under control at 6:32 a.m., while also being able to prevent the fire from spreading any further.

Around 7:19 a.m., fire crews responded to a house along Megellan Bay.

When crews arrived, they found fire and smoke coming from the home.

Crews were able to battle the blaze and declare it under control at 7:38 a.m.

No injuries were reported in either incident, and investigations into the cause of the fires are underway.
