Semi-truck kills pedestrian on Winnipeg highway

One person is dead after being hit by a semi-truck on a Winnipeg highway Wednesday.

Manitoba RCMP say just before 2 a.m. on Oct. 19, a pedestrian was reportedly walking on the Perimeter Highway just east of St. Anne’s Road.

The pedestrian was hit by the semi, and was later pronounced dead at the scene.

RCMP say they are investigating and trying to determine the identity of the person that was killed.
