By Sportsnet Staff

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are keeping Zach Collaros around long term, agreeing to a three-year contract extension with their starting quarterback, the team announced Tuesday.

Collaros has thrown for 4,115 yards with 35 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in his third season with the Blue Bombers. The 34-year-old was set to become a free agent at the end of the season.

Since joining Winnipeg in a trade from the Toronto Argonauts, Collaros has led the team to back-to-back Grey Cup titles while being named the CFL’s Most Outstanding Player in 2021.
