Two people facing 20 charges each following drug bust

Two people have been charged by Winnipeg police in connection to a drug trafficking investigation.

Officers say they issued a search warrant on Sep. 24 for a house along Colley Crescent.

During the search of the house, police found ten guns, ammunition, roughly $6,000 worth of cocaine, and roughly $12,000 worth of psilocybin or mushrooms.

Police say a 29-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were taken into custody at the scene.

Officers have charged both suspects with ten counts of possession of a firearm, possession of prohibited device/ammunition, possession of cocaine, and possession of psilocybin.

Both have since been released with conditions, and Winnipeg police say an investigation is still ongoing.
