Winnipeg police are looking for a group of individuals allegedly responsible for multiple assaults Tuesday night near Keewatin Street and Logan Avenue.
Police say they responded to reports of a man that had been assaulted just before 10 p.m. near a restaurant in the area. When officers arrived, they found a man in his 20s suffering from several stab wounds and suffering from the effects of being bear sprayed.
The man was treated at the scene by officers and paramedics before being taken to a hospital.
WPS say a woman in her 20s was also assaulted but did not require medical assistance.
“It is believed that the two victims, who are acquittances, were walking in the area of McKelvey Street and Logan Avenue when confronted by a group who assaulted them,” said Winnipeg police in a statement.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.
