Woman dies of injuries in hospital after reported assault: WPS

Winnipeg police say a 31-year-old woman died in hospital after an alleged assault late Saturday night.

Officers say they were responding to a report of an assault on Marlow Court near Mapleglen Drive around 10 p.m.

Police found an unconscious woman with upper-body injuries and performed emergency first aid.

The victim was transported to hospital, where police say she died of her injuries.
