Former Winnipeg football coach facing more sex assault charges

Three additional people have come forward to Winnipeg police regarding alleged sexual assaults at multiple schools in the 2000s.

Earlier this month, Winnipeg police charged former football coach Kelsey Albert Dana McKay, 51, with 14 exploitation and sexual assault-related offences after five adults came forward.

WPS previously stated the alleged assaults happened over months and years.

Const. Dani McKinnon added that the accused forged relationships with the students and communicated with them regularly.

The latest three people to come forward reported to Winnipeg Police that sexual exploitation and abuse incidents happened while McKay coached them at Churchill High School.

Police have added eight additional charges to McKay’s previous 14. Police say he was released by Crown consent with conditions.
