Manitoba reports 947 COVID-19 cases, six new deaths

Manitoba is reporting 947 COVID-19 cases and six new deaths on Wednesday, including a woman in her forties from Winnipeg.
Public-health officials also identified 825 new COVID-19 cases from the previous 24-hour period.
Of the total 1,772 cases across that two-day period, 1,188 originated in Winnipeg.
The five-day positivity rate in Manitoba is 24.2 per cent.
There are 183 Manitobans hospitalized with COVID-19, with 29 receiving intensive care.
Three outbreaks have been declared:
- Northern Spirit Manor personal care home (Thompson)
- Actionmarguerite St. Boniface personal care home (Winnipeg)
- Fred Douglas Lodge personal care home (Winnipeg)
Dr. Brent Roussin and Dr. Joss Reimer addressed the province’s COVID-19 situation and provided a vaccination update at a press conference Wednesday afternoon.
