WINNIPEG (CityNews) – Winnipeg police have identified a suspect related to sexual assaults that occurred along the Red River Trail on Aug. 8 near Churchill Hill School.
WPS say thanks to numerous public responses, investigators have identified and issued an arrest warrant for 29-year-old Jordan Andrew Bruyere.
Bruyere is described as being 5’11” in height, 157 lbs.

Tuesday, WPS released a video of a man believed to be involved in the string of assaults along the trail system.

“We believe the image we released and the surveillance video we released last week is this individual,” said a spokesperson for the Winnipeg Police Services.
WPS have previously said incidents of similar nature to Aug. 8 have taken place along the trail dating back to April. However, during Friday’s announcement, WPS said: “At the moment we’ve only laid charges regarding the incident at Churchill High School.
“We are certainly looking at the fact that he would fit profiles and likely, possibly be linked to the other river trail assaults. But we do not have enough evidence at this point to lay those charges.”
Winnipeg Police are now asking if anyone has any information regarding Bruyere, to contact 204-986-6245 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
