WPS looking for tips in disappearance of Cynthia Parisian

WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Police Service is hoping someone might be able to identify a truck they say is connected to the disappearance of Cynthia Parisian.

Parisian, 40, was last seen at a Home Depot on Leila Avenue on Feb. 17, 2019.

At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing dark clothes and a pink toque. She is Indigenous, about 5’3″ with a heavy build, and has brown eyes and hair.

Recently-released surveillance video shows Parisian leaving the Home Depot and getting into a dark-coloured truck.

The truck was circling the area before Parisian got in it, and police believe it may be a key detail in figuring out what happened to her.

“She has a family that loves her and is missing her. She also has a grandson she has never met yet. We believe someone has information on her disappearance,” said her family in a statement, pleading for anyone with information to come forward.

“We just want some answers – anything at this point would help. We thank anyone that can provide the information that can help resolve this.”

The WPS says investigators are concerned for Parisian’s well-being and anyone with information should contact them or Crime Stoppers.
