Man, 33, dies in hospital following Friday morning stabbing

WINNIPEG (CITYNEWS) – Winnipeg police say a 33-year-old man has died in hospital after being stabbed early Friday morning.

The victim has been identified as Robert James Forbister.

Police say the stabbing occurred in the area of Portage Avenue and Sherbrook Street sometime between 4:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. on Friday morning.

Investigators are asking businesses or residents in that area to check possible security camera footage for information relevant to the ongoing homicide investigation.
