Buses cancelled for Winnipeg school divisions

WINNIPEG (CITYNEWS) – Class may be in session but Winnipeg students will need to find a different way to get to them.

The bitter cold has already forced class cancellations in the Seine River district and now Pembina Trails says it, along with several other school districts are canceling school buses for Thursday.

“Please be advised that the Metro Winnipeg school divisions, Pembina Trails, Seven Oaks, River East Transcona, Louis Riel, St. James-Assiniboia, Winnipeg, and the DSFM will not be running buses tomorrow,” reads a statement from Ted Fransen with Pembina Trails.

Schools in these districts will remain open. Dramatically low temperatures and wind chills are expected to continue for the time being. You’re being urged to dress appropriately for the weather.
