Man charged after crashing van into parked cars near Manitoba daycare

A man has been arrested after a van crashed into three parked cars near a daycare centre in Rossburn, Manitoba.
RCMP say the van was travelling at high speed around 3:05 p.m. on Apr. 2, when it collided with the other vehicles, causing severe damage.
The crash occurred when young children and their parents were entering and exiting the building.
“At approximately 3:30 p.m., multiple bystanders waved officers down and pointed out the suspect, who was walking in the community. He was arrested without incident,” said RCMP in a statement.
Mounties have since charged 31-year-old Lawrence Jade Shingoose with assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats, failing to stop after an accident, impaired driving, and operating a vehicle while over .08.
