Manitoba RCMP say one person is dead and another is in hospital following a two-vehicle collision in the Rural Municipality of Bifrost, around 140 kilometres north of Winnipeg.
Mounties from Gimli responded to Highway 326 and Highway 329 just before 5 p.m. on Monday.
When they arrived at the scene, they found two vehicles — a sedan and a pickup truck — in the ditch, just southwest of the highway intersection.
RCMP say the driver of the sedan, a 34-year-old woman from Winnipeg, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The passenger of the pickup, a 53-year-old woman from Arborg, was taken to hospital with minor non-life-threatening injuries, while the driver, a 58-year-old man from Arborg, was treated at the scene.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
