Winnipeg police looking for van driver in hit-and-run Saturday morning

Winnipeg police say a 25-year-old woman is in hospital after a hit-and-run on Mar. 15.
WPS says officers responded to Osborne Street and Mulvey Avenue East around 12:30 a.m. on Mar. 15, after receiving a report that a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle.
Officers attended the scene and found a 25-year-old woman suffering from serious injuries. She was taken to hospital in stable condition.
Through the initial stages of an investigation, police learned that she had tried to cross the road at Mulvey Avenue East, in front of a van that had been stopped. As she was crossing, the van drove into her before the driver fled down Osborne Street.
Police are looking for the driver of the van. The van has been described as a large white cargo-style van.
