2 Winnipeg schools closed due to email threats

By News Staff

Two Winnipeg schools were closed Monday after receiving threatening emails the night before, according to police.

Oak Park and Elmwood High School chose to remain closed Monday while the police investigations are ongoing.

The Pembina Trails School Division says Oak Park received a bomb threat in the evening, and the Winnipeg Police Service was immediately dispatched to the school.

“Students are advised to check their teacher’s Edsby sites for learning updates,” the school division wrote in a social media post.

More coming.
