34-year-old woman fatally hit by vehicle on Chief Peguis Trail

Winnipeg police say a collision claimed the life of a 34-year-old woman on Wednesday evening.
The Winnipeg Police Service says it happened near the intersection of Chief Peguis Trail and Gateway Road around 7:40 p.m.
The woman, a pedestrian, was found by officers with serious injuries. She was taken to hospital in critical condition, where she died.
The 26-year-old male driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and spoke with officers.
The investigation is ongoing.
