Parts of Southern Manitoba still dealing with aftermath of Monday’s storm

Parts of Southern Manitoba are still dealing with the result of a serious storm that rolled in early this week that brought with it torrential downpours, overland flooding, and thunderstorms, with some communities receiving upwards of 200 millimeters (mm) of rain.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada, the rainfall began on Monday and moved into Ontario by Tuesday afternoon.
Over the span of 36 hours, many southern Manitoba communities received significant rainfall resulting in the flooding and closure of roads in several communities including Blumenort.
