Winnipeg man charged for allegedly threatening to shoot 4 people after rock thrown through window

Winnipeg police say a 30-year-old man is facing 16 charges after allegedly threatening to shoot four people on McKenzie Street Monday morning.
WPS says around 6:45 a.m., officers responded to a report of a man who was pointing a gun at people and threatening to kill them.
The report also indicated that once the call to police was made, the man left the scene.
When police arrived, they learned that an altercation took place after a rock was thrown through a window by one of the four people who were being threatened.
After the rock was thrown, the man reportedly came outside with a gun.
Police also determined that everyone involved in the incident may have known each other.
WPS later executed a search warrant at the home, where they found and seized an improvised gun and shotgun shells.
At 5:50 p.m., the man was reportedly taken into custody at the scene, without incident.
Mark Brady Monias has been charged with the following:
- Four counts of pointing a firearm;
- Carrying a concealed weapon prohibited device of ammunition;
- Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized;
- Three counts of possession of a firearm, restricted/prohibited weapon, or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order;
- Storing a firearm or restricted weapon contrary to regs;
- Four counts of uttering threats;
- Four counts of failing to comply with conditions of a release order;
- Warrant – Failing to comply with a probation order.
