Woman dies several hours after ‘minor’ collision: Winnipeg police

Winnipeg police say a woman has died following a collision near Pembina Highway and Dalhousie Drive on Sept. 11.

WPS say the collision, which occurred around 4:15 p.m., initially went unreported.

At the time it was believed to be a minor collision between a Dodge Dart and Toyota Yaris. After the incident, both drivers exchanged details before leaving the scene.

WPS learned on Sept. 18, a 67-year-old woman, who was driving the Toyota Yaris during the collision, suffered a medical emergency several hours after the collision, while she was at home.

She was taken to hospital, where she later died.

Police believe the medical emergency was associated with the collision earlier in the day.

WPS are asking if anyone has any information regarding the collision to contact investigators at 204-986-7085 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.
