One in critical condition after West End apartment fire

A person was hospitalized in critical condition following a fire in a West-End apartment building Tuesday morning.
The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a three-storey building on Sargent Avenue near Arlington Street around 9 a.m.
Crews say they arrived to find smoke in the building.
Firefighters helped some residents evacuate.
Paramedics transported one person to hospital in critical condition.
The fire was under control within an hour, according to WFPS.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
