Three people found dead after house fire in Portage la Prairie; man in custody

Three bodies were found after crews put out a fire from a burning home in Portage la Prairie, about an hour west of Winnipeg, early Sunday morning.
Manitoba RCMP say a man is in custody in connection with the “suspicious deaths.”
No personal details of the suspect were provided, or if he knew the victims.
Officers say they responded to a house fire around 1 a.m. on 7th Street SE.
Once fire crews extinguished the blaze, three bodies were found inside the home.
Police are investigating.
