Woman fatally struck by ATV driven by 21-year-old man on Manitoba First Nation

Police say a woman was killed on a Manitoba First Nation after being struck from behind by an ATV, and a 21-year-old man is facing charges.
Swan River RCMP say the 39-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man were walking in in Wuskwi Sipihk First Nation on Monday night when they were struck by the four-wheel vehicle.
Authorities say the woman took the brunt of the impact and sustained severe injuries. She died of those injuries at the scene.
The man was taken to hospital with multiple non-life-threatening injuries, police say.
Mounties say the 21-year-old driving the ATV was uninjured. He was arrested outside his house, near the scene of the collision, and the ATV was seized. He was released from custody on conditions.
The police investigation is ongoing.
