Police investigating 17-year-old girl’s death in northern Manitoba as homicide

The death of a 17-year-old girl on a northern Manitoba First Nation is being investigated as a homicide.

Mounties say the teenager died at a home on Stagg Crescent in Mosakahiken Cree Nation on Tuesday.

Moose Lake RCMP were called to the home around 4:15 a.m. for the report of an injured person. Officers arrived to find the girl, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

RCMP are investigating.
