Cyclist in hospital following collision with pickup truck: Winnipeg police

Winnipeg police say a 23-year-old man was injured after a 2018 Dodge Ram collided with a cyclist on Wednesday morning.

WPS says police responded to a report of a collision around 5:30 a.m. on May 6, near the intersection of Dugald Road and Murdock Road.

When they arrived at the scene, they found a 23-year-old man who was injured in the ditch on Dugald Road, and provided first aid until paramedics arrived.

The man was then taken to a hospital in critical but stable condition.

The driver of the Dodge Ram — a 27-year-old woman — stayed at the scene and was cooperative with police; however, WPS notes that she was driving with a suspended licence.

Police say an investigation is ongoing, and are asking if anyone has any information to contact investigators at 204-986-7085 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.
