Teens facing charges for allegedly stealing cigarettes from Winnipeg gas station

Winnipeg police say one teen has been charged and two others are facing charges after allegedly stealing cigarettes from a gas station.

WPS says on March 22, three teens reportedly entered a gas bar along the Pembina Highway, where they allegedly used pepper spray before stealing 18 packs of cigarettes and cash.

Officers responded to the scene; however, the teens had fled before they arrived.

Following an investigation, police were able to take a 16-year-old, a 13-year-old, and a 14-year-old into custody on Apr. 5.

The 16-year-old has been charged with robbery, disguise with intent, and possession of a weapon.

The other two are facing similar charges, but have been released on Undertakings and are expected to appear in court at a later date.
