Man charged after barricading himself in garage northwest of Winnipeg

RCMP have charged a 41-year-old man who allegedly threatened others and barricaded himself inside a garage on Monday morning, northwest of Winnipeg.

Mounties from Winnipegosis responded to a report that a man was making threats and had barricaded himself in a garage with a firearm around 6:40 a.m. on March 30.

For cautionary reasons, nearby residents were evacuated while RCMP dealt with the man.

Around 1:45 p.m., the man reportedly exited the home and was taken into custody.

RCMP has since charged 41-year-old Duck Bay with assault, resisting a peace officer, multiple weapons offences, uttering threats, and failing to comply with conditions.
