Winnipeg police issue warning regarding release of high-risk sex offender

Winnipeg police are issuing a warning to the public regarding the release of a convicted sex offender.
The Manitoba Integrated High Risk Sex Offender Unit (MIHRSOU) says 34-year-old Curtis Leroy George is believed to be a high risk to re-offend in a sexual/violent manner against all females, both adults and children. He is expected to live in Winnipeg.
Police say George was released after serving a sentence for sexual assault involving an adolescent female in Thompson.
He was also reportedly convicted of breaching his probation order by having contact with a person under the age of 16 without written approval from Probation Services.
Police note that George has a history of violent and sexual offending.
He has been described as a 169 cm or five-foot-six, weighing 63.5 kg or 140 lbs, he has black hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of a marijuana leaf and the word loyalty on his left forearm. Additionally, he also has a scar on his left forearm, right forearm, right index finger, and right middle finger.
