Winnipeg police have arrested two suspects in a robbery that left a 32-year-old man stabbed and in critical condition.
The alleged incident happened on February 9 in the West Broadway area. The victim was stabbed and robbed after a parking lot altercation escalated. The suspects had fled the scene before police arrived.
Officers provided first aid before paramedics took the victim to the hospital in critical condition; he was later upgraded to stable.
The major crimes unit identified two suspects, a 35-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, and arrested them on February 12 with help from the Manitoba Integrated Violent Offender Apprehension Unit. The male suspect was the subject of two warrants for being unlawfully at large. He tried to flee by climbing out of the window, but was apprehended after a brief foot chase.
