Winnipeg woman arrested for selling stolen goods on social media

Winnipeg police (WPS) arrested a 36-year-old woman in connection with the sale of stolen goods social media.

 The woman allegedly stole from a retail store on St. Mary’s Road and put them up on sale online, WPS said.

The store reported theft of merchandise valued under $5000 between Jan. 11 and Jan. 26,

Investigators found several of the items being sold by the suspect and arrested her on Jan. 29 in the Westwood area.

During the arrest, the officer discovered additional merchandise valued at almost $1500.

The woman was charged with trafficking of property obtained by crime and theft under $5000.

She was released on an undertaking.
