Fire in 10-storey residential building in Winnipeg

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to a fire in a 10-storey high rise apartment building Saturday morning.
WPFS said crews responded to reports of the fire in the residential building in the 0 to 100 block of Carlton Street, at 8:29 a.m. Saturday.
When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found smoke in the building and quickly brought the fire under control.
“Some residents self-evacuated and some sheltered in place in their suites. No injuries were reported,” WPFS said in a press release.
The fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available.
