Additional charges for Winnipeg man accused of multiple arsons throughout the city

Winnipeg Police have re-arrested 35-year-old Jesse Wheatland after a continued investigation into arsons throughout the City of Winnipeg.

He was originally arrested on November 18 and charged with multiple arson-related offences, in relation to incidents at 11 locations across the city.

Wheatland has now been charged in connection with three additional suspicious fires, which are as follows:

  • The first was reported in the 100 block of Disraeli Freeway on August 19th,
  • The second was reported in the 900 block of Corydon Avenue on November 2nd, and
  • The third on November 3rd at 1000 Nairn Avenue.

Wheatland was re-arrested on December 9 at Milner Ridge Correctional Centre and charged with a number of arson-related charges.
