2 facing charges for drug trafficking in Lord Selkirk Park neighbourhood

Winnipeg police say two people are facing charges for trafficking drugs in the Lord Selkirk Park neighbourhood.

WPS says on Nov. 28, officers executed a search warrant at a private residence along Selkirk Avenue.

At the time, two people — a 37-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman — were taken into custody, and police were able to find and seize the following:

  • Roughly 88 grams of crack cocaine
  • Roughly 64 grams of black-market marijuana
  • Over $3,600 of Canadian currency
  • Roughly $20 of American currency

The man and woman are facing charges of possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000. Both have since been released on Undertakings.
