Partial human remains found in North End back lane: Winnipeg police

Winnipeg police say partial human remains were discovered in a back lane in the city’s North End on Sunday.
The Winnipeg Police Service says the remains were found on Selkirk Avenue near McKenzie Street around 1:30 p.m.
Officers were called and they secured the scene, and forensic identification officers assumed care of the remains.
An autopsy confirmed they were human.
The homicide unit is investigating this as a suspicious death.
Authorities have no additional information about the deceased person’s identity.
