Yale Avenue West fire: 18-year-old dies of injuries

An 18-year-old man injured in a house fire on Yale Avenue West on Saturday morning has died of his injuries, Winnipeg police are saying.

Four people were taken to hospital — one in critical condition and three in stable — after a fire broke out before 7:30 a.m.

Firefighters rescued one person from inside the home, while the other occupants managed to leave on their own.

Police say the major crimes is investigating; no charges have been laid.
