Man fleeing Winnipeg police dies in vehicle rollover: WPS

Winnipeg police say a 35-year-old man died in a rollover while allegedly fleeing officers in a stolen vehicle following a domestic incident dispute on Saturday.

The Winnipeg Police Service alleges a man involved in a domestic-related incident at a home in Tyndall Park stole the victim’s vehicle and sped away before officers arrived.

Authorities say a police helicopter spotted the vehicle speeding down Inkster Boulevard, going west.

“While attempting to make a northbound turn onto Brookside Boulevard it lost control,” the WPS said in a news release.

Police say the man was ejected from the vehicle and died of his injuries.
