Woman allegedly assaulted two men while attempting to steal car: Winnipeg police

A woman allegedly attempted to steal a car and assaulted two men who tried to stop her.
The incident occurred Friday morning when the woman allegedly got into the driver’s seat of an unlocked, running car. She then reversed the vehicle into a metal garbage bin, causing more than $2,000 in damage.
The car’s owner and a bystander confronted her and managed to pull her out of the vehicle, but she assaulted them during the struggle. The men were not injured and held her down until police arrived.
As a result, 35-year-old Stacey Lane Eaglestick was charged with theft of a motor vehicle and two counts of assault.
