Winnipeg police say a 33-year-old woman has been charged in connection to several thefts at MLCC locations in the city.

WPS says between mid-September and October, they received several theft reports from MLCC locations across the city.

  • Sept. 16: A woman reportedly attended the MLCC along Main Street near Smithfield Avenue, and allegedly stole eight bottles of liquor.

Police were able to learn that in all of the thefts, the woman used a stolen Manitoba Driver’s License as identification to enter the stores.

They were later able to identify the woman as 33-year-old Kayla Lee Campbell, and took her into custody on Oct. 17, after she turned herself in.

Campbell is facing various charges including theft under $5,000, identity fraud, identity theft, possession of an identity document and warrants.
