Teen in hospital after being hit by vehicle in Selkirk

Manitoba RCMP say a 17-year-old is in hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Selkirk Wednesday night.
Mounties responded to reports of a vehicle-pedestrian collision around 9:30 p.m. on Manitoba Avenue, just west of Highway 9A, in Selkirk.
Officers responded to the scene, where they found that two young men were walking east in the middle of the road when one was hit by a vehicle that was also traveling east.
The 17-year-old was airlifted to hospital via STARS in critical condition with serious injuries.
The driver — a 27-year-old man — remained at the scene and spoke to police following the collision.
An investigation is ongoing.
