2 charged in fatal stabbing in Manitoba prison

Manitoba RCMP say two men have been charged after an inmate was fatally stabbed in prison.

Mounties responded to the Stony Mountain Institution around 10:10 p.m. on Oct. 1, after receiving a report of a suspicious death.

After arriving at the scene, officers found a 27-year-old inmate who appeared to have been stabbed. He later died at the scene.

Since, 26-year-old Evander Brightnose and 22-year-old Theodore Anderson have been charged with second degree murder.

An investigation is ongoing.
